Review and Opinions of Adobe Commerce

One of the main advantages of Adobe Commerce is its ability to handle ecommerce of any size and complexity, from 1 purchase landing to a complex, international and multi -language site . And that can do it because Adobe Commerce provides a robust and scalable infrastructure that can handle large volumes of products, orders and user traffic without compromising performance.

This platform, previously known as Magento (Community Edition or Enterprise) offers a wide range of features and functionalities that allow users to manage all aspects of their online store. Some of these characteristics include catalog management, advanced customization and visualization options, marketing tools, SEO options , inventory management, payment and shipping processing, data analysis and much more.

The administration of the catalog in Adobe Commerce is highly flexible and allows users to create and organize products efficiently: categories, subcategories, filters, labels, filter combinations ... The platform is able to manage a wide range of types of products, such as simple, grouped, configurable and virtual, allowing merchants to offer a personalized purchase experience to their customers. In addition, Adobe Commerce offers advanced categorization and filtering options , which facilitates navigation and search for customer products. Adding to that your advanced search module and the fact that it is easily "splicable" with solutions such as Doofinder , Elastic Path or Empathy.

One of Adobe Commerce's key strengths is its approach to performance and scalability. The platform is designed to handle large volumes of traffic and transactions, which makes it a popular option for high growth companies and scalability requirements. Adobe Commerce also offers advanced cache storage options, speed optimization and response capacity, which helps guarantee a fast and fluid user experience.

Another advantage of Adobe Commerce is its focus on international trade. The platform admits multiple languages, currencies and payment methods, which allows users to expand their business globally and serve an international client base. Adobe Commerce also offers multiple store management options, which allows users to administer several online stores from a single platform.

In addition to its base functionality, Adobe Commerce has a wide community of developers and an extensive gallery of extensions and issues available in its marketplace of extensions and topics . These extensions and additional issues allow users to expand the capacities of their store and connect with third -party apps.

The consumption that are not usually counted

But not everything is pros, there are also consumption that you can read below although I would like to underline one of them. I used to work with several Magento projects. Magento announced that he would stop supporting version 1 in 2020. They launched the Magento 2 version, which was a cluster of nonsense . They were then acquired by Adobe and relaunched the software (not from 0) adding functionalities, integrating it with all adobe apps and putting a price on the platform.

Many developers and agencies have been helpless and forgotten by Adobe with this change. Also, many have dedicated changing to other platforms, since they were not clear what the future of Magento would be. This is the case of stores that have migrated to Salesforce Commerce Cloud Oa Shopify Plus .

I comment this because it is not usually read too much about the subject and it seems important to me to take into account if you are going to use Adobe Commerce .

  • It may require time and effort to become familiar with all its functionalities and make the most of the platform

Adobe Commerce (previously Magento) offers incredible flexibility for my online store. It is ideal for those who have technical knowledge. But it is not the most friendly for beginners.

    + Pros: highly customizable.
    - CONS: Complex for beginners. Requires technical skills. High maintenance cost.
